Murillo Do Nascimento Moreira
Cartier
My name is Murillo, and although I currently live in Paris, my journey has taken me much further. I was born in Brazil and grew up in Brussels, Belgium, where I graduated from the University of Art and Design. Surrounded by people from all over the world, I was constantly immersed in an environment of creativity, collaboration, and cultural exchange.
Working at Cartier International at HQ in the Store Visual Merchandising team taught me the significance of how design, display and storytelling influence the way clients engage with a brand across generations. It’s a powerful intersection of creativity, consumer experience and an essential business support.
In my free time, you can often find me wandering through art galleries, museums, or browsing the design section of a bookstore. I love traveling, meeting new people, and recently discovered the excitement of auction houses. I value diversity, curiosity, and creativity—three dynamic words that, to me, form a loop of constant inspiration, unexpected discoveries, and open-minded acceptance.
For me, Gen Z has redefined how I view the world. Their approach to consumption and the future brings a refreshing perspective on how life should be lived, with an emphasis on authenticity and sustainability.
I’m honored to be part of the Gen Z Observatory. It represents a valuable opportunity to learn, exchange ideas on current issues, and, hopefully, make a positive impact on someone’s life.
Sana Hirayama
Cartier
I am Sana Hirayama. I joined Cartier Japan as a new graduate in 2022 and started my career as a client advisor in a department store boutique. Last year I moved to the office and currently belong to Corporate Initiatives, where I work as a coordinator and support various projects and events. Our mission is to enhance the company’s value through timeless and non-commercial global and local projects.
During my university years, I studied aesthetics and science of arts, mainly on western art history. Learning about the historical context in which the masterpieces were painted and researching the meanings they hold was very interesting. Besides my original interest in arts and aesthetics, the Tank Française, passed down from my grandmother to my mother and then to me, was the beginning of my story with Cartier.
I am delighted to be part of this year’s The Gen Z Observatory team and look forward to interacting with my colleagues from other markets. I believe that my experience in both boutique and office, as well as my time living in the Middle East and South America, will bring diversity to this programme.
